Adorable Sock Monkey Costume

There’s still enough time for you to make this adorable sock monkey costume for your child. All you need is a well fitting sleeper, a package of mens work socks, and some basic sewing skills. I found this tutorial on Instructables. Jessica, the mom who created this one, did a really awesome job putting her creativity to use.

Something a little different

So when I stumbled across this super crafty owl tote bag, I just knew it had to be shared with Kids Stuff World readers. In fact, this may just be the item we were looking for to round up all the goodies we have planned for our first giveaway. On an entirely separate note, Ellen from The Long Thread fashioned this bag to hold goodies for little ones on Halloween. This bag would no doubt be perfect for trick or treating but we see so many other uses for this terrific project too. Take a look at the original post here, and find the link to the instructions here. If you choose to make your very own Scrappy Owl Tote bag shoot as a photo, we’d love to see how it turns out.

Hoots Paper Owl Toy

Check out Hoots The Owl by Enamor
Sticking with our owl theme, we thought we would pass on this super cute DIY paper owl toy. This adorable owl can be yours in just 10 minutes! Use some thicker paper and you’ve got a permanent piece on your hands. I envision myself experimenting with fun prints and creating different animals. Who knows maybe we can start a Kids Stuff World Paper animal collection. If you’ve got a 3D paper animal you’d like to share with us, email us at kidsstuffworld@gmail.com.

If you’ve made you own hoots, like Little Beary Li send a pic to Enamor, she’d love to see them all.

Not only are these kids shorts adorable, but they’re also easy to make and the perfect outfit for summer.
Now for the fun part, let’s all run out and make a few pairs of these killer shorts. Shoot, we may as well outfit the whole neighborhood in them. Get as many going as you can and then send us photo’s of your Bandana Pants Gang. If we get any takers, we may just have to make a contest out of this one… stay tuned for more details. In the meantime, send your photos to kidsstuffworld @ gmail dot com. We can’t wait to see what you come up with!

A little background info on Stefani:
We stumbled onto Stefani’s site, Blue Yonder recently and no kidding have had trouble pulling ourselves away to get to work in the morning. This mother has it all, she’s smart, she’s funny, she’s creative, she’s wholesome, she’s crafty, and just down right entertaining. Not to mention one of the first lucky lady’s to be featured at Kids ~ Stuff ~ World. Who knows, maybe if we’re lucky we will be able to chat with her soon. {Hope you’re reading this Stefani, cause if you’re willing we’d love to do a post entirely about you}

Thrift Store MuuMuu = Stylish Peasant Top

How to Create a Peasant Top from a Funky Thrift Store Muumuu – CraftStylish
For our first project in our new segment called Take Something Ordinary and Make it Extraordinary, we’d love to feature this amazing project from the Subversive Seamster. It’s a little bit funky, a little bit retro, a little eco-friendly, and a whole lot of stylish mixed into one great top. The perfect signature shirt for a modern day mom looking for ways to save a few bucks, look good at the same time, and if at all possible not damage the planet any more than it already is. Sounds like us, right? We found this project at Craft Stylish. If you’ve never been there, you should go (after your done here of course) and check out all their fantastic craft ideas.

Craft This! Berroco Rainbow Knit Throw
Berroco Free Pattern | Rainbow Throw
We’ll be the first to admit, we have not mastered the fine art of knitting. Sill, I find myself perusing magazines, catalogs, and websites drooling over the patterns. I would have to say knitting is in my future and once it is, this gorgeous Rainbow Throw is mine, all mine! We hope you enjoy this post as much as we did. For what it’s worth, the throw was rated as an Easy project. If you try this one out, we’d love to see the results. Post them in a comment here or email them to us at kidsstuffworld@gmail.com
